Bennett Jones is pleased to welcome John Brao to our Corporate Department in our Toronto office.

John Brao’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial matters, domestic and cross-border private and public company M&A, and securities-related matters.
As a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, John spent a semester abroad in London, England studying corporate/commercial law at Queen Mary University of London. Prior to joining Bennett Jones as an associate, John articled at a boutique litigation firm and later worked for a leading full service firm, where he gained diverse experience in a variety of corporate practice areas.
John is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association and is also a registered notary public.
In the community, John is a big brother with Big Brothers Big Sister of Toronto. He is also a mentor with the First Generation Network, a non-profit organization aiming to reduce barriers law students face who are first in their family to complete post-secondary education. John is passionate about health and fitness and is a member of the CrossFit community.
