Bennett Jones Welcomes Partner Daniel Ratushny

Daniel Ratushny practises corporate, securities and sports law with a focus on private equity, M&A, capital markets transactions and international sports arbitration.

Daniel has assisted domestic and international clients in various industries on matters including corporate finance, deal structuring, governance and share acquisition transactions. He is an Arbitrator with the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland and with the IAAF Disciplinary Tribunal. He has experience hearing contractual, match fixing, anti-doping and sports federation disputes.

As a former professional hockey player and head coach, Daniel competed for Team Canada at the World Junior Championships, Winter Olympics and two Spengler Cups. He coached professionally in Switzerland, Germany and Austria, served as head coach of the Austrian National Team and is a member of the Cornell University Athletics Hall of Fame.
