Bennett Jones is pleased to welcome partner Jana Prete to the firm.

Jana Prete advises clients on corporate commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and energy-related matters, including conventional and non-conventional oil and gas, electricity, wind and coal.

Working for national and international clients alike, Jana negotiates and drafts asset and share purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, project agreements, and other industry-specific agreements. She also assists clients with general corporate/commercial matters and preparing documentation for complex internal reorganizations.

Jana is active in the Canadian Energy Law Foundation and has presented on a number of occasions to the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen.

Prior to joining Bennett Jones, Jana practised in the Calgary office of another national law firm. While there, she was co-chair of the firm’s Calgary Student Committee.
