Bennett Jones Welcomes Partner Matthew J. Hunt

Bennett Jones is pleased to welcome Matthew Hunt to our Corporate Department in our Toronto office.

Matt advises companies, investment dealers and other industry participants on a variety of corporate, securities and M&A mandates. Clients appreciate his ability to think “outside of the box” and his focus on execution.

Matt maintains a diversified corporate practice and has significant experience in corporate finance and securities (both debt and equity), public and private mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, corporate reorganizations, corporate governance as well as general corporate and commercial law.

He has represented clients across a spectrum of industries, including cannabis, blockchain, mining, aviation, manufacturing and gaming. Matt was recently recognized by Chambers Canada for his expertise in the cannabis sector.

Matt joined the firm after several years at another leading Canadian law firm. His career includes engagements in the legal department of a major Canadian financial institution and at a prominent international trade law firm in Washington, DC.
