Fogler, Rubinoff LLP Welcomes Privacy Law Lawyer April Gougeon

Fogler, Rubinoff is pleased to announce that April Gougeon has joined the firm as an Associate in our Privacy and Data Protection group.

April’s practice focuses on assisting clients in the implementation and preparation of appropriate privacy policies and practices, privacy management programs, conducting privacy audits, and responding to privacy complaints and investigations.

Prior to joining Foglers, April was a Senior Advisor and Senior Strategic Policy and Research Analyst with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC). While at the OPC, she advised on the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other international and domestic privacy-related policy and legislation. She has worked at the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and the Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules as well as the Competition Bureau Canada with respect to deceptive marketing practices. This experience allows April to confidently guide clients through their business compliance obligations under an array of Canadian legislation.
