Hicks Morley Welcomes Associate Labiba Chowdhury

Hicks Morley is pleased to announce that Labiba Chowdhury has joined the firm as an associate in our Toronto office.

Hicks Morley is pleased to announce that Labiba Chowdhury has joined the firm as an associate in our Toronto office. Labiba provides advice and representation to employers and management in both the public and private sectors on a wide range of labour, employment and human rights issues. Her work includes grievance arbitrations, labour disputes, wrongful dismissal actions, occupational health and safety, human rights and accommodation, and employment standards.

Labiba received her Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto. During law school, she was a volunteer caseworker for two legal aid clinics. Labiba was also active in University of Toronto’s mooting program as a mooter, a coach and an organizer. She placed as Top Oralist in the 2020 Honourable Frank W. Callaghan Memorial Moot.

Prior to law school, Labiba served as a senior advisor at the Ontario Treasury Board Secretariat, where she worked on policy development and province-wide consultations.
