Hicks Morley is pleased to announce that Rachel Counsell has joined the firm as an associate in our Toronto office. Rachel represents private and public sector employers on a wide range of labour, employment, and human rights issues, including grievance arbitrations, collective bargaining, labour disputes, occupational health and safety, human rights and accommodation, and employment standards. Rachel summered and articled at the firm before returning as an associate in 2020.
Rachel received her Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto. While studying at the University of Toronto, she worked as a caseworker at Advocacy for Injured Workers, a community legal clinic representing injured workers in workers’ compensation claims and appeals. Before attending law school, Rachel received a Bachelor of Arts & Science degree from McMaster University.
