Paliare Roland is pleased to welcome Kate Shao to the Firm’s partnership.

Kate is a union-side labour lawyer. She represents trade union clients at grievance arbitrations, administrative tribunals, and courts in Ontario. Prior to joining Paliare Roland in 2021, Kate worked in the City of Toronto’s Legal Services Division and Human Rights Office and began her career at a leading labour and employment law boutique. She is a passionate advocate for human rights and social justice, and has written and spoken on issues of race, gender, and identity.

Kate is also a member of the firm’s Inclusion Committee.  She is recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada: Ones to Watch for her work in the labour and employment law field.
