Raees Nakhuda Joins Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP Toronto Office

Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP is pleased to welcome Raees to the Corporate group.

Raees graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2013. As a law student, Raees was the recipient of the General Motors of Canada First Generation Fund Scholarship, the McMillan LLP Scholarship and was awarded the Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP Prize in business organizations and the Genest Murray Prize in evidence. In 2010, Raees graduated with distinction from York University having completed an honours bachelor of business administration degree at the Schulich School of Business. As an undergraduate student, he was the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top Scholarship, the York University Entrance Scholarship and the Edith Schulich Scholarship awarded to students demonstrating academic excellence.

During the summer of 2012, Raees worked at Blakes as a student in the Firm’s Capital Markets & Securities Regulation group and Financial Services group. Previously, he interned at a criminal law office where he assisted on a variety of criminal proceedings.
