Paul has been a Bencher since 2007, and has spoken out on the tough issues that confront the Law Society, including articling, Trinity Western, the discipline process and competency, diversity and access to justice.

Paul has a diverse practice and started in criminal defence before moving to a large firm where he litigates commercial, constitutional, criminal/regulatory and media law. His active involvement in legal and community organizations, and now as Chair of the Law Foundation of Ontario, gives him the experience and knowledge to continue to be a strong, principled and progressive voice at the Law Society.
