Smart & Biggar is pleased to welcome Irshaad Hashim to our expanding IP litigation bench. Irshaad utilizes his biotechnical expertise to provide informed IP solutions.

Smart & Biggar is pleased to welcome Irshaad Hashim to our expanding IP litigation bench. Irshaad joins the firm as an associate located in our Ottawa office. He utilizes his biotechnical expertise to provide informed IP solutions.

Before pursuing a career in intellectual property law, Irshaad graduated magna cum laude from the University of Ottawa with an Honours B.Sc. in Biomedical Science. He then earned his M.Sc., in Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience from the University of Ottawa where he worked for a neuroscience research team involved in cutting-edge studies.

Before joining the firm as an associate, Irshaad was a summer student in Smart & Biggar’s Ottawa office in 2020 and returned as an articling student in 2021-2022.
