James is a partner at Torkin Manes. He has a very diverse litigation practice, with a focus on commercial litigation matters, contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, professional liability and technology litigation. He appears regularly before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal and before administrative tribunals including the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Landlord and Tenant Board and the Ontario Municipal Board.

James graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor, where he earned several awards including highest academic achievement in contract law, civil procedure, insurance law and legal history.
