Wildeboer Dellelce LLP welcomes Amir Torabi as an associate.
Amir practices primarily in the areas of corporate/commercial and securities law, with a particular emphasis in corporate finance and mergers and acquisition matters. He has acted for both issuer and underwriter clients in connection with a variety of matters including public offerings and private placements of equity and debt, public take-overs and going private transactions and start-up advice.
Amir joined the firm as a summer student in 2015 and completed his articles with the firm in 2017. During his articles, Amir completed a secondment in the Corporate Finance Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission.
While at law school, Amir was the director of the Hockey Arbitration Competition of Canada and worked as a research assistant for Contract Law. He also participated as a caseworker at Downtown Legal Services.
Amir is a contributor to the Canadian Greenscape (www.canadiangreenscape.ca) which provides a snapshot of the legal cannabis industry in Canada. He also founded the You Can Play Project’s Young Professionals Network, which has raised $20,000 for the project to date.
