Position Overview:
This role is well-suited to a strong commercial litigator seeking to accelerate their development in a focused boutique environment, with direct exposure to clients, strategy, and advocacy, and the opportunity to build expertise in securities and corporate disputes. Prior securities litigation experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple files effectively, delivering under deadlines with minimal
- Demonstrate growing competence in drafting pleadings, affidavits, facta, and settlement
- Begin developing client contact and management skills under partner
- Meet billable hour and revenue targets appropriate for their experience
- Show interest and aptitude in client development, including supporting business development
Development Goals:
- Build a foundation of self-sufficiency in legal tasks and file
- Strengthen drafting and client management
- Begin to establish a profile within their practice area and zones of

Qualifications & Skills
- 3-6 years of litigation experience
- Exceptional writing, drafting, research, and analytical skills
- Strong advocacy instincts and a demonstrated interest in courtroom work
- The ability to manage complex files independently and as part of a team
- Sound judgment and strategic thinking
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build credibility with clients and colleagues
- Excellent academic credentials
- All qualified applicants will be members in good standing with (or willingness to be admitted to) the Law Society of Ontario.
