Why did you become a lawyer?
I wanted a career where I could make a difference in the world. I’m fortunate to have turned that dream into reality. In my current role, I stand beside people during some of the hardest moments they will ever experience, helping them find answers, pursue justice and move forward after a life-altering event.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Helping clients who often feel overwhelmed, frustrated and uncertain about what comes next. The legal system is complex, but I have a chance to guide them through it, answering their questions and advocating on their behalf. Knowing that I’ve helped a client through a difficult period is the best reward.
How will AI impact your area of law?
AI is already reshaping both medicine and law, and my practice sits at the intersection of both fields. From AI-assisted diagnostics to legal-document automation, these tools can be used for good. But their rapid development also raises critical questions about accountability and the evolving standard of care. My role is to stay ahead of that shift and ensure my clients are never lost in it.
What’s the biggest misconception about your work?
One of the biggest misconceptions is that medical malpractice lawyers require a medical or science background to be successful. What it demands is sharp analytical thinking, the ability to master complex facts and the skill to translate dense evidence into a clear and compelling case. The real prerequisite is an unwavering commitment to understanding each client’s situation and fighting for the outcome they deserve.
What legal accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am proud of my specialization in medical negligence and fertility work. These highly specialized areas require a combination of legal skill and compassion. I’m also proud of the fact that I am respected by my plaintiff and defence counsel colleagues. That reputation is so meaningful because it’s the result of years of consistently doing work the right way.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy time with friends and family, concerts and travel. My interests outside of work help me recharge and return to my practice with fresh energy and perspective.
