Thomas Gold Pettingill LLP Welcomes Charles Dobson as Partner

Thomas Gold Pettingill LLP is please to announce Charles Dobson has become a Partner of the firm.

Charles joined the firm in 2013. In his practice, he focuses on liability defence, coverage advice, and subrogation claims. Prior to joining Thomas Gold Pettingill LLP, Charles practiced corporate and commercial litigation for several years at a national Bay Street firm.

Charles has diverse litigation experience and has represented clients in contract disputes, negligence claims, insurance related matters, and class actions. He has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court, the Ontario Divisional Court, and the Ontario Court of Appeal. Charles has also represented clients in mediations and arbitrations.

A selection of Charles’ recent work includes:

• Defending personal injury claims relating to motor vehicle accidents (including heavy commercial vehicles) and slip and falls
• Counsel for subrogated claims relating to oil contamination, fire losses, and water losses
• Counsel for claims in solicitor’s negligence
