With a practice focused on patent preparation and procurement, Surena Hesami calls on his technical expertise in mechanical engineering and renewable energy to draft and prosecute patent applications. In his role he conducts patent searches and advises clients on issues relating to patentability, patent validity and infringement.
Surena earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Concordia University where he completed a thesis, in collaboration with the aerospace industry, focusing on gas turbine combustion. In addition to his engineering experience, he has assisted clean tech and biomedical companies through his work in a start-up accelerator. His previous experience also includes time spent in North America’s largest custom Air Handling Unit (AHU) manufacturer, based in Montreal.
