Etienne Lacroix-Couillard joins Smart & Biggar, Canada’s leading firm for IP law, adding to the firm’s litigation practice group in Montreal.

Etienne devotes his time and energy to the details of complex intellectual property issues. Working with clients in a wide range of sectors – including motion picture and broadcast, restaurants and hospitality, and sporting goods – he is informed by research and a through understanding of his clients’ industries and market landscapes to consider commercial solutions to meet their business needs.

Etienne’s practice focuses on copyright, patent and trademark protection. He regularly drafts written arguments and presentations of motions before the courts and engages with local, national and international clients.
