Miller Thomson welcomes Shubhreen Dosanjh to its Financial Services group

Miller Thomson is pleased to welcome Shubhreen Dosanjh as Counsel in the Firm’s Financial Services group. She is based in the Firm’s Toronto office.

“Shubhreen’s practice complements the work of our Financial Services Group across a broad range of lending and structured finance matters,” said Jay Hoffman, Chair of Miller Thomson’s National Business Law Group. “Her experience advising financial institutions, lenders, borrowers and a global credit rating agency adds further depth to our practice and enhances the advice we provide clients navigating complex financing transactions.”

Shubhreen advises financial institutions, institutional lenders, corporate borrowers and other market participants on complex secured and unsecured lending transactions, with a particular focus on securitization and structured finance. Her experience includes a broad range of structured credit and asset-backed products, as well as other debt financing and credit structures.

Prior to joining Miller Thomson, Shubhreen worked at a global credit rating agency, advising on securitization transactions across various asset classes. She also practised at a leading Canadian law firm, where she advised lenders and borrowers on complex financing matters. Shubhreen earned her J.D. from Western Law and her H.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.

Beyond her legal practice, Shubhreen has been an active committee member of the Women in Securitization platform founded by the Structured Finance Association, where she supported initiatives focused on advancing women in the structured finance industry. She has also contributed to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives within the financial services sector.
