Crawley MacKewn Brush LLP is pleased to welcome Riya Thomas as an Associate.

Crawley MacKewn Brush LLP is delighted to announce that Riya Thomas has joined the firm as an Associate after articling with the firm.

Riya is a litigation associate whose practice encompasses corporate and commercial disputes, securities litigation and other complex civil matters.

Riya graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, where she furthered her interest in litigation through her participation in mooting and legal clinics. Throughout her first year of law school, Riya volunteered with METRAC, where she prepared and delivered legal presentations about the rights of women facing intimate partner violence. She participated in mooting events throughout law school, including competing in and receiving top individual and team prizes for the 2024 Davies’ Corporate/Securities Moot. In her final year, she joined the Moot Court Committee, where she assisted in organizing several mooting events at the school, including the school’s mooting showcase: the 2024 Grand Moot.
