Danijela Obradovic joins Smart & Biggar
November 4, 2015Danijela Obradovic’s intellectual property practice is dedicated to patent and trademark matters, including prosecution and litigation. Danijela has experience in patent prosecution and drafting for patent and design applications relating to inventions in the energy, chemical and biotechnology fields, as well as industrial and mechanical applications. Her practice also entails prosecuting and registering trademarks, providing opinions on validity, patent and trademark infringement, and preparing agreements related to IP licensing and transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Danijela worked for a top-tier corporation in the oil & gas field for five years, and brings considerable experience from her roles in refining and supply, and the Canadian oil sands. Her strong technical background and business aptitude skills, combined with rigorous legal training, allows her to provide clients with the advice and representation necessary to succeed in patent prosecution and trademark matters.
Danijela graduated with distinction from University of Waterloo’s Chemical Engineering program, earning various academic recognitions including the Dean’s Honors Roll and being awarded an Upper-Year Scholarship.
