McLeish Orlando welcomes Nicole Fielding as an Associate
August 12, 2019Nicole is a long standing member of McLeish Orlando, having held various positions at the firm working part time and full time during the summer while completing her high school and undergraduate studies. She would continue as both a summer and articling student at the firm. In 2019, after 8 years, Patrick Brown’s team was proud to have Nicole join as an associate.
Nicole graduated with distinction with an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and earned her law degree at the University of Windsor.
While at law school, Nicole served as a volunteer caseworker and litigator at Windsor’s Community Legal Aid clinic. She held various editorial positions at the Windsor Law Review. In 2018, Nicole was awarded the “Best Examination-in-Chief” award by the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association during its yearly provincial Moot Cup Competition.
Nicole has written on the use of surveillance and investigation in civil proceedings for The Advocate’s Society and prepared submissions to the OBA on Alternative Business Structures. She was actively involved in fundraising for the Ontario Safety League and has been a yearly volunteer for Helmets on Kids.
Nicole’s practice is dedicated to representing individuals or families who have suffered catastrophic injuries or the death of a loved one as a result of negligence.
Nicole is a member of the Women’s Law Association of Ontario, Toronto Lawyer’s Association, Ontario Bar Association, and Law Society of Ontario.
