Tala Khoury joins Fasken Martineau

Tala Khoury is a member of the Litigation group in Fasken Martineau’s Ottawa Office.

Tala is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, where she was awarded the York International Mobility Award, the Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP Prize in Business Associations and the National Association of Japanese Canadians & Roger Sachio Obata C.M. Prize in International Human Rights Law. During her time at Osgoode, Tala volunteered with Law Help Ontario – Small Claims Court as a Pro Bono Students Canada placement and spent a semester working as an employment law caseworker at Parkdale Community Legal Clinic. She was a Dean’s Fellow for criminal law, a volunteer with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, International Legal Partnerships and a Student Ambassador. She also helped organize the J.D. Student Research Symposium, the Law & Revolution Symposium and several talks as part of the Distinguished Speakers Series.

In the summer of 2012, Tala worked as a Research Assistant at Osgoode Hall and as a Legal Fellow for the Kosovo Law Centre. She has also worked as an Assistant Inspector with Elections Ontario, as Program and Policy Assistant with the Ontario Ministry of Labour, as Congressional Intern with the Office of Congressman James P. Moran in Washington, D.C., and as Intern for Ali Sharif Zu’bi Advocates and Legal Consultants in Jordan.
