Torkin Manes Welcomes New Associate Gillian Howe

Gillian is an associate in our Employment and Labour group. Her practice focuses on providing counsel to clients in unionized and non-unionized workplaces with respect to issues and litigation involving the Ontario Human Rights Code, Canadian Human Rights Act, Ontario Labour Relations Act, 1995, Employment Standards Act, 2000, Canada Labour Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.
Prior to joining Torkin Manes, Gillian summered and articled at a boutique labour and employment firm. During law school, Gillian was the Chair of the Western Advocacy Committee and worked as an Associate Caseworker for the Western Business Law Clinic. Gillian was the winner of the BLG/Cavalluzzo Labour and Employment Law Moot and a member of Western’s external team for the Niagara International Moot Court Competition.
