WeirFoulds welcomes Private Equity Partner Carleigh Bassett

WeirFoulds welcomes Carleigh Bassett as a Partner in its Private Equity Practice Group.

WeirFoulds LLP is pleased to announce that Carleigh Bassett has rejoined WeirFoulds as a partner in its Private Equity Practice Group, effective March 28, 2022. As the newest addition to the partnership, Carleigh brings with her a wealth of experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer who has worked in both private practice and in-house roles.

Carleigh began her legal career at WeirFoulds where she worked as an associate in the private equity group from 2015-2020. In 2020 she moved to an international accounting firm as a senior commercial lawyer on their in-house legal team, where she assisted with merger transactions as well as day to day contract negotiations and governance matters.
