Ben began working with Beth Symes and Carol Street in 2006. He was made a Partner at Symes & Street in 2011. The firms name was changed to Symes Street & Millard LLP effective January 1, 2012.
Ben’s practice focuses primarily on labour and employment law, human rights and professional regulation. He has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario and federally as well as numerous administrative tribunals. In October 2011, he appeared and made oral submissions before the Supreme Court of Canada in Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission v. Whatcott, a groundbreaking case regarding the constitutionality of hate speech provisions in human rights laws.
