Domenico Magisano of Lerners receives Lexpert Rising Star Award

Lerners congratulates Domenico Magisano on receiving the 2014 Lexpert Rising Star Award. The award honours leading lawyers under age 40 who are recognized for their accomplishments within the legal profession as well as their social contributions beyond it.

A corporate bankruptcy and restructuring lawyer, Dom has expanded this practice area significantly for Lerners since joining the firm two years ago. Frequently retained by mid-sized entrepreneurial companies, accounting firms, trustees and, secured and unsecured lenders, Dom is an experienced litigator who has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal.

Dom is an active member of the Lerners partnership, serving as a mentor to junior lawyers on his team. He was appointed Partner of Lerners United Way Leadership Campaign, and has been part of the OBA Insolvency executive since 2008, at various times sitting on the newsletter committed CLE programs committee within the executive. Magisano has worked with Canadian Corporate Counsel Association to help create a mini-MBA program for in-house counsel, in partnership with Rotman School of Management. He also maintains a commercial litigation practice focusing on corporate disputes and real estate matters.
