Filion Welcomes Associate Misbah Anis

Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP is pleased to announce that Misbah Anis has joined the firm as an associate in our Hamilton office. Misbah maintains a broad practice in all areas of labour and employment law and advises employers on a variety of matters, including labour disputes, human rights issues, wrongful dismissal defense litigation, employment standards, employment contracts, and workplace investigations. Misbah is a dedicated advocate, adept at representing clients in litigation before civil courts, employment-related tribunals, and labour arbitrators. Misbah received her Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University in 2017 and, thereafter, earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor in 2022. Prior to law school, Misbah gained practical experience in human resources, specializing in employee relations, recruitment, and benefits/pension administration. During law school, Misbah served as president of the Labour and Employment Law Society and was a teaching assistant for courses in Civil Procedure and Contract Law. She also volunteered as a caseworker at the Community Legal Aid, where she represented low-income clients in various legal matters.
