Filion Welcomes Knowledge Management Lawyer Emily Elder

Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP is pleased to announce that Emily Elder has joined the firm as a Professional Development and Knowledge Management lawyer, based in the firm’s Toronto office. Drawing on her clerkship at the Federal Court of Appeal and eight years in practice at leading union-side firms in Toronto, she brings a wealth of expertise with a specialization in both pay equity and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). As a bilingual lawyer, Emily further deepens the firm’s ability to provide services in both official languages. Emily cultivates collaboration and knowledge sharing at the firm through insightful professional development opportunities, acting as a mentor and knowledge hub, and developing precedents and resources. She recruits top student candidates, and supports the firm’s lawyers throughout their career development. Emily routinely monitors legislative and case law updates, providing updates to both lawyers and clients on these and on emerging issues of significance in labour and employment law.
