May 19, 2026
Jiwaji Law is pleased to announce that Ariyana Dhawan has joined the firm as Counsel (Barrister), strengthening the firm’s growing litigation practice.
Ariyana is a commercial litigator whose practice focuses on complex disputes, including securities and regulatory matters, administrative and professional discipline proceedings, intellectual property enforcement, and tax litigation. She has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia and has represented clients in trials, appeals, class proceedings, arbitrations, injunctions, and complex chambers applications.
Before joining Jiwaji Law, Ariyana articled and practiced as an associate at one of British Columbia’s leading commercial litigation boutiques, where she developed a broad litigation practice and represented clients in high-stakes commercial matters. She now joins Jiwaji Law as part of the firm’s founding litigation team, contributing to its continued growth as a women-led business law firm serving clients across Canada.
Ariyana earned her Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. During law school, she participated in the Harold G. Fox Moot, Canada’s premier intellectual property moot, where she gained experience addressing appellate-level intellectual property issues. She also served as an Assistant Editor of the UBC Law Review and worked as a research assistant on projects relating to corporate law, sustainability, and climate governance.
Ariyana has been actively involved in the legal community throughout her career. During law school, she served as a researcher and co-project coordinator with the Consent Project through Pro Bono Students Canada, helping deliver legal education programs to high school students. In 2025, she also served as faculty for CLEBC’s A Litigator’s Arsenal program.
Ariyana’s addition marks an important milestone in Jiwaji Law’s continued expansion and reflects the firm’s commitment to building a top-tier litigation and business law practice rooted in excellence, modern legal service, and strong client relationships.
