Loopstra Nixon Welcome Sonja Gashus as an Associate.

Sonja Gashus is an associate in the Corporate & Commercial practice group.

She advises clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, financings and general corporate matters.

She earned her J.D. from Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law with a specialization in Business Law. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Dalhousie University’s Rowe School of Business, where she competed as a varsity track and field athlete. Prior to joining Loopstra Nixon, she practiced at a corporate law firm in Toronto and worked in financial operations at a global fund services company.

Outside of the office, Sonja is involved in initiatives supporting women in the legal profession. She enjoys participating in intramural sports and spending time outdoors.
