Michael’s corporate practice is concentrated on securities, financings, mergers and acquisitions, mining law, and general corporate matters.

His background in Business Management, with a specialization in Finance, allows him to provide strategic, results-driven advice to his clients. Michael acts for a broad range of clients from large public and private companies to startups and sole proprietorships across a diverse set of industries.

Clients value Michael’s practical, business-oriented approach, entrusting him with their growth strategies, corporate governance, regulatory and stock exchange compliance, and day-to-day business needs. Michael is known for delivering clear, actionable guidance in complex legal environments, consistently tailoring solutions to the distinct needs of each client.

Before joining Loopstra Nixon, Michael spent 5 years working in a large full-service firm in downtown Toronto.

In his spare time, Michael enjoys playing golf, basketball, and squash, and spending time with family.
