Loopstra Nixon welcomes Tony Ma as an Associate

Tony is an associate of the firm’s Estate Planning and Wealth Management practice group. He specializes in the areas of wills, trusts, and estate planning, as well as estate administration.

From helping individuals craft their estate plan around corporate assets, to advising parents on leaving an inheritance for their child with a disability, and everything in between, Tony brings a compassionate and pragmatic approach to his work. When clients lose a loved one, he strives to help them understand the estate administration process and guide them through the legal complexities.

Prior to joining the firm, Tony practiced at a boutique law firm for several years, gaining expertise on disability-related estate planning topics such as Henson Trusts. Prior to that, he worked at a premier estate litigation law firm, gaining knowledge on issues relating to capacity, guardianship, and will challenges. His prior experience informs his current practice, emphasizing the need for foresight and diligence throughout the estate planning and administration process.

In his spare time, Tony enjoys travelling, watching movies and stand-up comedy, and is a fan of Toronto sports teams and Formula 1 racing. He is also fluent in Cantonese.
