Loopstra Nixon Welcomes Zachary Swannell as an Associate

Zachary is a business lawyer with a broad corporate and commercial practice, primarily focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, financing, and securities. Zachary also practices competition law and is a member of the firm’s merger review team, which guides clients through transactions regulated by the Competition Act.

Zachary obtained his J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. During law school, Zachary was an editor at the Law Review and worked at the Entrepreneurship Hatchery, where he helped student-led startups navigate the legal and regulatory compliance matters that arose as their businesses scaled.

Zachary began his legal career at Loopstra Nixon as a summer student and later articled at the firm before returning as an associate.

Outside the office, Zachary enjoys the Toronto food scene and staying active by way of golf, skiing, yoga, and Brazilian jiu jitsu.
