Mathews Dinsdale Welcomes Julia Bassett to the Firm

Mathews Dinsdale is pleased to announce that Julia Bassett has joined the Firm as Counsel in our Toronto office.

Mathews Dinsdale is pleased to welcome new Counsel, Julia Bassett, to our Toronto office. She practices in all areas of labour and employment law.

Julia advises employers on a broad range of topics including hiring, discipline, termination, employment standards, human rights and accommodation. Julia also regularly drafts workplace policies, employment agreements, and termination documents.

Julia is an experienced advocate who represents clients in mediation and negotiations, wrongful dismissal actions, disability benefits litigation, human rights complaints, unjust dismissal complaints and grievance arbitrations.

Julia’s experience includes two extensive in-house secondments, which have given her firsthand insight into the operational and legal challenges facing employers. She brings this practical perspective to her advisory and litigation work.

Prior to joining Mathews Dinsdale, Julia practiced labour and employment law at an international law firm in Toronto.
