We practice primarily criminal defence and regulatory law. Our lawyers have argued many of the leading cases in Canada on criminal law and on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. We represent individuals charged with homicide, assault, financial and white-collar crimes, drug offences, sexual offences, fraud, voyeurism, and internet offences, among others. We also advise regulatory bodies on investigations and prosecutions, represent clients on disciplinary and licensing matters, and argue judicial reviews. We are experienced in animal rights litigation, the regulation of health professionals, academic discipline, municipal by-laws and the Police Services Act of Ontario.

We also represent clients in civil cases, including defamation, contract, civil fraud and civil forfeiture, and director and officer liability. Our experience in criminal and regulatory law makes us uniquely suited to handle civil cases involving police negligence, Charter damages, freedom of expression and state accountability.
