Julia Schur joins Smart & Biggar, Canada’s leading firm for intellectual property law, adding to the depth and breadth of the firm’s practice in Montreal.

Julia Schur, a U.S. Attorney (Massachusetts), brings to the firm her experience at the intersection of intellectual property law and technology.

Before joining Smart & Biggar, Julia was a student attorney at the Boston University/MIT technology clinic. In this role she advised cutting edge start-ups on matters ranging from regulatory compliance to trademark law, copyright and data privacy. She is currently a legal fellow for the U.S. based Cyber Civil Rights Initiative, where she assists with legal research to support the drafting of new reforms to protect victims of cybercrimes.
