Smart & Biggar welcomes Tom Trinh to the Vancouver office as a Senior Associate in the Life Sciences practice group.

Smart & Biggar is pleased to announce that Tom Trinh has joined the firm as Senior Associate.

Tom Trinh is a results driven lawyer and strategic IP expert whose practice covers all aspects of procurement, commercialization and enforcement for life sciences.

Having held IP roles as in-house counsel in North America, Asia (specifically China and Japan) and Europe, Tom brings a global perspective to IP strategy and offers invaluable insight into the practical needs of corporate IP departments pursuing growth and business value.

Over the course of his fifteen-plus years as an in-house counsel in the pharmaceutical and consumer goods industries (including a major Fortune 500 company), Tom has led strategic IP procurement, commercialization and enforcement on behalf of his clients. His extensive experience allows his clients to trust his ability to anticipate their needs and provide timely, holistic and commercially relevant legal advice.
