Toronto Lawyers Association announces Erin O’Donovan as President

The Toronto Lawyers Association (TLA) is proud to announce Erin O'Donovan as our new president.

Erin, who  has been a  TLA Director of the Board since 2014, was elected President April 27, 2022.   She shared a few words about her presidency in an interview with Legal Matters Canada:

“I am a solicitor, so my background is different than many of the other board members. Originally, a big part of what I brought to the table was knowledge of corporate governance, and proper organizational structure,” she says. “Now, I would say that what I bring to this job first of all is commitment. It has been a privilege to get to know and understand the issues that are central to our members.”

Erin is also an active volunteer in the Toronto Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program and when not engaged in volunteer work is the Manager, Corporate Finance Branch at the Ontario Securities Commission.

The TLA is centrally located in “the Rotunda” at 361 University, where our library, networking and social events space in the Courthouse provides many opportunities for our members to connect with lawyers and judges in the Toronto legal community.
