WeirFoulds welcomes Jonathan Lee as an associate

WeirFoulds is pleased to welcome associate Jonathan Lee to the firm's Corporate Practice Group.

WeirFoulds is pleased to welcome associate Jonathan Lee to the firm’s Corporate Practice Group. Jonathan’s practice is focused on securities law.

Jonathan has a broad range of experience in securities regulatory matters, investment funds, and compliance in dealer, adviser and investment fund manager registration categories.

Prior to joining WeirFoulds, Jonathan was Vice President (Legal) at the Canadian branch of a global financial services firm. He was responsible for drafting commercial agreements with clients, various service contracts, non-disclosure agreements and much more. He also advised executive team members on compliance with regional securities and privacy laws.

Jonathan also worked as an associate at an international business law firm serving as counsel on complex mergers and acquisitions with respect to securities regulatory matters. He also provided counsel to investors, regulated insurance entities and numerous reporting issuers.

On top of his Juris Doctor, Jonathan also completed a Master of Business Administration at the Schulich School of Business, York University, and a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Administration at Ryerson University.
