The lawyers of Thomson Rogers are pleased to announce that Lucy Jackson is now a partner of the firm, practicing in our Personal Injury and Class Action Litigation groups.
Lucy’s practice involves helping people who have been seriously injured in motor vehicle collisions, slip/trip and fall accidents, assault and battery, as well as medical device and product liability claims. In addition, Lucy’s class action practice involves claims of institutional abuse, negligent misrepresentation, breach of the Consumer Protection Act, and other personal injury claims.
Lucy also represents individuals whose claims for Long-Term Disability benefits have been denied by their insurers. She has successfully appeared as co-counsel before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and secured a jury decision awarding full reinstatement of her client’s long-term disability benefits, as well as an award for aggravated and punitive damages.
Lucy is a Member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Governance Committee for the Community Head Injury Resource Services (CHIRS) in Toronto. CHIRS is a community-based brain injury rehabilitation program that provides a variety of critical services to its clients, including supportive living accommodations and clinical programs.
We are proud to welcome Lucy to the Partnership, and we look forward to a successful future together.
