At Mathews Dinsdale, you’ll work on sophisticated labour and employment matters for leading employers across Canada while developing your skills alongside some of the country’s most respected workplace lawyers. We combine the resources and expertise of a coast to coast firm with the collegial culture and close collaboration of a boutique practice. As the only Canadian member of Ius Laboris, the world’s largest alliance of firms practicing workplace law in over 55 countries, we also offer our lawyers access to a global network of experience.
With seven offices across Canada from coast to coast: Halifax, Fredericton, Toronto, Sarnia, Calgary, Vancouver and Victoria, we deliver strategic advice, practical solutions and immediate crisis management to private and public employers in every sector of the economy.
We are seeking an associate with one to four years of experience to join our Halifax office. The ideal candidate will have experience advising clients on a broad range of workplace law matters, but we will also consider applications from candidates who have a strong civil litigation background who are interested in building a career in workplace law. Applicants should either be a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society or eligible for admission. We welcome applications from Atlantic Canadians practicing elsewhere in Canada who are interested in returning home, as well as from candidates outside the region who are eager to relocate to Atlantic Canada. This is a unique opportunity to have best of both worlds, living in “Canada’s Ocean Playground” and working with a collegial and leading group of lawyers across the country, providing legal advice to a diverse range of employers.
