BLG congratulates new partner Rose Massicotte

Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to welcome Rose Massicotte to the firm’s partnership.

Rose represents the interests of businesses of all sizes, both unionized and non-unionized, and she handles all aspects of labour and employment law. She advises employers with respect to pre-hiring and hiring procedures, employee management, dismissals, individual and group layoffs, and human rights, as well as labour relations issues, including the interpretation and application of collective agreements. Rose also advises several clients in the context of commercial transactions.

She acts on clients’ behalf before civil and administrative courts and tribunals, including arbitrators, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, the Access to Information Commission, the Administrative Labour Tribunal, and the Superior Court.

Rose has an expertise in interpreting and applying the recent major amendments to the Québec’s Charter of the French Language. More specifically, she has extensive regulatory experience in applying the employment and francization provisions and provides practical advice to local and foreign clients of any size in this regard.
