Associate announcement

Erin Craddock Joins Cassels Brock

July 5, 2011

Cassels Brock is pleased to announce that Erin Craddock has joined the firm as an associate in our Advocacy Group.

Her practice focuses on securities law and complex commercial litigation. Erin has assisted in the representation of clients in US federal government investigations and before the US Federal Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. One of those cases involved the representation of a French multimedia corporation in a securities fraud class action trial. Erin has also assisted in representing clients in various aspects of bankruptcy proceedings.

While pursuing her undergraduate studies, Erin worked as a Student Customs Inspector for the Canadian Border Services Agency at Pearson International Airport. She evaluated passengers’ admissibility to Canada and enforced Canada’s immigration and customs laws. While in law school Erin authored a note comparing the removal proceedings on national security grounds in the United States to those in Canada; the note was published in the Cornell Law Review in 2008

Erin has represented several pro bono clients including the Queen’s County District Attorney in the successful defense of a criminal appeal. In 2010, the New York State Bar Association gave Erin the honorary title of Empire State Counsel in recognition of her pro bono service.
