Loopstra Nixon LLP welcomes Shuhang Zhong as an Associate.

Shuhang maintains a general corporate/commercial practice and assists clients with a broad range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganizations.

Shuhang was called to both the Ontario Bar and New York State Bar in 2022. Prior to joining Loopstra Nixon LLP, Shuhang worked as a corporate lawyer at a full-service law firm in Ottawa, Ontario after completing her summer and articling programs with the firm.

Shuhang obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2021. During law school, Shuhang participated in the Intensive Program in Poverty Law at Parkdale Community Legal Services, working in the clinic’s Housing Rights Division and serving members of the Parkdale community in Toronto on a variety of housing-related matters.

Having grown up in Shanghai, China, Shuhang earned her undergraduate degree in law from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2018. During her undergraduate years, Shuhang participated in the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition for two consecutive years and interned at legal departments of two multinational companies.

Shuhang is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese and is able to assist clients in both English and Mandarin.
