Nicola Geary is a partner in the Business Law Group at Cassels Brock. Her practice focuses on corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, private equity and venture capital. She also advises public companies with respect to compliance with securities law requirements.
Nicola regularly acts for private and public companies as well as private equity investors across various industries. Her experience includes acting for issuers, investors and underwriters in various merger, acquisition and corporate finance transactions, including private placements, public offerings, private equity and venture capital financings. Nicola also offers valuable expertise in the formation of, and investment in, private equity funds as well as experience in advising funds making downstream investments.
Nicola was called to the Ontario Bar in 2004 and the New York State Bar in 2001. She qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2003. Prior to joining Cassels Brock, Nicola practised as a solicitor in the area of private equity in London, UK and in the Toronto office of another national law firm.
