The “Law Firm of the Year” awards are given to a single Canadian law firm for excellence in a specific practice area. The recognition is based on several criteria including, responses from lawyers that are recognized by Best Lawyers™ in Canada, historical analysis of the firm’s “Lawyer of the Year” awards in their area, and peer review scores for the firm’s work in a specific practice area. This year, for the first time, Best Lawyers™ in Canada invited firms in the country to provide feedback on significant matters in certain practice areas and granted only one “Law Firm of the Year” award in personal injury litigation.
