Thomson Rogers Welcomes New Associate David Laird

The lawyers of Thomson Rogers are pleased to announce that David Laird has joined the firm as an Associate in their Personal Injury Group.

David has developed a passion for assisting others through life-altering events, leading him to pursue a career as a personal injury lawyer. His desire to help clients through traumatic injuries has bolstered his overarching goal of ensuring that accident victims are in a position to approach their next chapter in life feeling more resilient, prepared and confident.

David joined Thomson Rogers as an Articling Student after graduating from Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law and summering at a boutique personal injury and a full service law firm. While in law school, David volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and Lawyers Without Borders on projects regarding child protection law, residential tenancy matters and animal welfare. Prior to law school, David graduated from the Bachelor of Commerce Co-op Program at Dalhousie University with a major in finance and minor in economics and worked in the corporate world. David also worked as a teacher for the Cree Nation of Chisasibi, a community in northern Quebec, in congruence with the Cree School Board, teaching math to high school students in both French and English. These diverse experiences reinforced David’s keen interest in helping others through life’s obstacles and provided a holistic means for aiding accident victims.

Outside of the office, David enjoys travelling, surfing, and cooking for friends and family.
