Insolvency and commercial litigation boutique Reconstruct LLP welcomes Joel Turgeon to its team.  Joel began his legal career in the insolvency and restructuring groups at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP and the Toronto boutique firm, Goldman Sloan Nash and Haber LLP.  Joel represents Court officers as well as debtor corporations, creditors and other stakeholders in bankruptcy, restructuring and receivership proceedings. Joel also regularly acts for purchasers of distressed assets and has extensive commercial litigation experience, including shareholder disputes. Joel practices in English and French.

Joel is an executive member of the OBA’s Insolvency Law Section, the TMA’s NextGen Committee, and the CBA’s French-Speaking Common Law Members National Section. He is a regular writer, panelist and chair of articles and programs in the insolvency and restructuring community.
